In this interview, we had the pleasure of speaking with Sharon Bryan, an experienced financial and operational advisor who has held various positions in multinational corporations such as Adidas, Reebok, and Rockport. With over a decade of experience running her own business, Sharon has the expertise to help executives navigate through challenging financial and operational issues.
As an advisor, Sharon's main motivation is to provide the support talented business people need to succeed. She believes that her experience in integrating large ERP systems and small systems like Quickbooks Online and Desktop, along with her M&A experience, can add the most value to organizations.
Sharon also shared with us her thoughts on the disruptive trends in her industry and position, emphasizing the importance of striking a balance between implementing systems, processes, and controls while avoiding over-bureaucracy.
Finally, we asked Sharon about the most impactful project she has been involved in as an executive, and she shared her experience as the Head of Integration for Reebok in the Adidas/Reebok Integration. She discussed the challenges involved in consolidating offices, system integration, and change management to develop the synergies identified in the acquisition, demonstrating her successful leadership and expertise.
I have held many financial and operational positions in the corporate world (Adidas, Reebok, Rockport), with large departments supporting the organization. I've also had my own business for the past 10 years, basically providing my own support. I also have experience integrating ERP systems (SAP) but also am an expert in small systems (Quickbooks Online and Desktop). My M&A experience in the corporate world is also quite valuable to many businesses.
I enjoy working with talented business people and really enjoy providing the support they need to be successful. Many executives are great at what they do but need a lot of help with financial and operational issues. I find it rewarding when some of my experiences help point an organization in the right direction.
I feel I could add the most value in the financial and operational areas. Having been through various system integrations, I could provide guidance on potential pitfalls. Change management is often underestimated and can be the difference between success and failure.
There can be a tendency to over-structure systems, processes, and controls. Especially with new businesses, it's important to keep things simple and not be overly bureaucratic while still providing key controls over the business. I'm a firm believer that it's possible to do both.
The most impactful project I've been involved in was as the Head of Integration for Reebok in the Adidas/Reebok Integration. Consolidating offices, system integration, and change management to develop the synergies identified in the acquisition was rewarding and actually a lot of fun.
In conclusion, with her extensive background in financial and operational management, coupled with her experience in successfully building her own business, Sharon Bryan is a valuable asset to any organization seeking advisory services. As an expert in both large ERP systems and small business software solutions, Sharon has a breadth of knowledge that can help businesses save money and maximize efficiency in their operations. Additionally, Sharon's M&A experience provides her with the expertise necessary to navigate complex business transactions.
