Yes, I do see disruptive trends on the horizon in the education sector, and I find one particular trend quite alarming. The looming teacher shortage is a major concern that has the potential to profoundly impact our education system and, more importantly, our youth.

The shortage of qualified teachers is not a new issue, but it has reached a critical juncture in recent years. Factors such as retirements, attrition, and the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic have exacerbated this problem. As a result, many regions are struggling to fill teaching positions, especially in subjects like STEM and special education.

This shortage has far-reaching implications. It can lead to larger class sizes, reduced individualized attention for students, and overburdened educators. Furthermore, the quality of education can suffer, affecting the academic and personal development of our youth.

I am deeply concerned about the potential consequences of this teacher shortage. The collapse of our education system, characterized by a lack of experienced educators, can hinder our students' access to quality education and limit their future opportunities. One of the most impactful projects I've had the opportunity of being involved in as an executive was the initiative to overhaul a program that aimed at providing mental health support to at-risk students and families within one of the organizations I've worked with. This project profoundly tested the transformative power of strategic planning, community organizing, and relentless commitment to making a difference.

The initiative began with the recognition that the mental health support provided for at-risk youth and families was not meeting their critical needs effectively. We knew we needed a comprehensive approach that would truly make a difference in their lives.

The impact of this initiative was profound.
