What's your main motivation for being an advisor?

My main motivation for being an advisor is to use my experience and expertise to help investors and board members identify companies and opportunities that can be successful or ways to make existing companies grow more effectively. In my opinion, federal oversight of innovation in healthcare will be more rigorously defined, and there will be an increased focus on privacy and understanding of how ML/AI can be made more effective with a clear understanding of use and implications. Also, technologists and medical professionals will begin to collaborate more closely while virtual and decentralized care takes a more front and center stage. Doctors will increasingly rely on AI, such as NLP, GPT, and assistive AI, to support them.

Tell me about the most impactful project or decision you’ve been involved in as an executive.

I'm always innovating, building, and solving point of care and clinical problems with novel technologies. One example of impact I'm proud of is enhancing clinical trials by reducing bottlenecks. Difficulty in identifying suitable patients for oncology trials has been a problem, where research staff spends hours searching for candidates. However, AI can be used to quickly identify patients that are most likely to match and would benefit. Another area is data collection where AI can prefill data from EHR into clinical trial reports, saving staff time.
