What are your areas of expertise?

I have primarily worked in human resource management, product operations management, and account management. My background in psychology and business enables me to understand consumer insights, processes and procedures, and what drives motivation to bring a consumer to a product and adopt it.

What's your main motivation for being an advisor?

I understand how employer and organizational brands impact the recruiting, sales, and product adoption processes. I enjoy working with leaders on maximizing efficiencies across teams and operations, creating sales and marketing plans, and optimizing delivery for customers. I help leaders identify the WHY behind their work, so they can lead from that place of passion.

What types of situations are you capable of advising on?

I help leaders identify their core objectives through mission and vision statement development (or refinement), which then allows us to align our work together to that end. When leaders are challenged with how to go to market with a new sales strategy, or get stuck on marketing copy, or understanding why prospects "click" on messages, I help them work through that. Having a unique 13-year background in HR, tech ops, and business development, I can offer a unique blend of experiences to help leaders grow and develop without needing a super-niche consultant for the task at hand.

Do you see any disruptive trends on the horizon in your industry or position?

In recent years, I've noticed a shift from feature-based selling to problem-based (challenge) selling, though I still believe it's misaligned with the direction consumers are heading to. Organizations should focus on the 'why' behind their product rather than amplifying problems or challenges that executives and leaders may be facing. Given heightened stress levels globally, many people would prefer not to be reminded they have yet another problem to solve. Instead, they aim to reduce the number of decisions they have to make, thereby lessening decision fatigue. This can be achieved by sharing with them 'why' they need your offering. Additionally, many readers, consumers, and executives hesitate to admit they have a problem, so highlighting the 'why' behind 'why they need you' is paramount to attracting clients and potential customers.

Could you tell me about the most impactful project or decision you’ve been involved in as an executive?

I assisted an organization in completely redesigning their human resources program delivery. I developed their mission and vision statement and aligned their HR processes and procedures accordingly, which reverberated into their core brand messaging, business operations, and business development strategies. Consequently, we aligned their job descriptions to the core needs of the organization and optimized their internal processes and procedures, leading to heightened productivity within the organization and increased sales leads.
